HYDERABAD: A new film body has been formed to give a push to film industry in Telangana. At a meeting held here on Monday, members of the film fraternity belonging to Telanganaannounced the formation of the new body which tentatively has been named as TelanganaCinema Chamber of Commerce. A membership drive will be taken up for the body. Members of the AP Film Chamber of Commerce from Telangana region are entitled to get membership in the newly-formed association
Well-known director N Shankar, who made 'Jai Bolo Telangana' was unanimously elected president of the new body, while SyedRafi, who made 'Inkennalu' will be general secretary. Like the AP Film Chamber of Commerce, the new chamber will also have four different sectors - producers, distributors, exhibitors and studio owners. Director AllaniSridhar will head theTelangana film directors' association.
