First it was Wanted. Then came Ready. With these two Hindi remakes of south films becoming blockbuster hits, and a third, Bodyguard, already underway, Salman Khan is getting ready to remake yet another film – Kanchana.
The Tamil film, directed by actor-choreographer-director Lawrence is
yet to hit the theatres, but that hasn’t stopped him from making plans
of taking it to Bollywood.Says Lawrence, “I have plans to direct Salman in the Hindi remake of Kanchana. I’m in talks with the actor and I should be making an announcement well within two weeks.” Kanchana is a sequel to Lawrence’s earlier box office success Muni.
The film, which is all set to hit theatres on July 14, has Lakshmi Rai
and Sarathkumar in important roles. Since Sarath plays a transgender in
the flick, and we wonder which B-towner will be brave enough to essay
that role.
