HYDERABAD: The 60th Idea Filmfare Awards (2012) South will be given away at a glittering show to be held in the city on July 20 at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), Madhapur.

The awards will be given away in 10 categories each in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. At a press conference here on Thursday, Filmfare editor Jitesh Pillai said the awards this year had great significance as the 60th edition of the awards is coinciding with 100 years of Indian cinema. Idea Cellular chief operating officer (COO), Andhra Pradesh, B Ramakrishna said Idea's association with the awards had helped them widen their customer base, especially in the southern states.

Actress Samantha Prabhu, who was invited to address the press conference along with the organizers, said she held the awards in high esteem.
